'LLBiPT5' Enables Low Light Boost Mode for the iPod Touch 5G Camera

If you have an iPhone 5, then you know just how great it is to have the additional boost of the low-light camera performance mode when the light just isn’t significant enough to take good photographs.

If you have an iPod touch 5G on the other hand, you’re not as fortunate as iPhone 5 owners. Your camera will works like any other iOS device camera that isn’t the iPhone 5. Luckily, the camera on the iPod touch 5G is capable of shooting good photographs in low light. It’s just disabled by default.

A new free jailbreak tweak called LLBiPT5 by iOS developer PoomSmart will enable the low light boost mode on your iPod touch 5G so you can take better photographs in low light situations.

We've tested tweak ourselves to see the difference on one of our iPod touch 5G units, and you can see the difference in lighting below, which is quite a significant difference:

LLBiPT5 has no options to configure, and its effects are applied to the camera immediately after installing. If you don’t have an iPod touch 5G, there is no reason to install this tweak. iPhone 5 owners already have this feature enabled by default. If you have an iPod touch 5G, this tweak is recommended, so give it a go!
